What is www.lakhpatipage.com all about?

www.lakhpatipage.com is an attempt to bring the concept of pixel advertising to India. It consists of a grid which is made up of 1 million pixels. These pixels are divided into 10000 boxes. Each box is 100 pixels in size.

These 10000 boxes are up for sale to anybody who wants to advertise on it. Advertises are put up in form of JPG or GIF images. The images size needs to be divisible by 10. That means an image of 120x60 size is acceptable but an image of size 123x67 isnt acceptable, This is because each box on the grid is 10x10 pixels.

People come on such a site due to curiosity and then click one of the advertisers icons and get diverted to the target website. The more www.lakhpatipage.com is promoted more people visit it and click the advertises. Hence, this model gives advertisers a good way to advertises their websites/businesses.

Is pixel advertising a new idea or has it been implemented before?

The concept of pixel advertising started from a British student Alex Stew who started a website www.milliondollarhomepage.com where he sold pixels on the webpage for just one dollar.

This created tremendous interest among people who were willing to buy those pixels(partly because they were being sold so cheap) to put up advertisements on his website.

Since the website got millions of visitors this model of advertisement was fairly successful.

www.lakhpatipage.com is intended to create the same model for Indian advertisers (in India, UK and USA) who are willing to attract large traffic on to their website/businesses.

What costs will I have to bear if I need to put up my advertise?

There are 2 pricing plans. One gives you great price and the other gives you great flexibility.

First Plan :

Each pixel costs Re 1. So if you are buying one box its 10x10 pixels, which is Rs 100. The least you can buy is one box since any area lesser than 10x10 will be to small to make an impact on a grid with 10000 boxes! Your advertise stays on the site for 5 years without renewal or any obligations!

Second Plan :

If you just want to see whether this mode of advertising works for you, you can rent pixels at a world-beating rate!
A 10x10 = 100 pixels box can be rented for just Rs 10 per month. Yes, you got it right just Rs 10 per month!! This plan is specially put up for people who might want to put their ads and check whether this mode of advertisment works for them.

How do I pay?

For Customers willing to pay in GBP or USD the payment can be easily done via Paypal for FREE!!

What if I want to pay in Rupees?

At the moment this site is not yet integrated with any Indian Payment gateway mainly because I lack the funds to integrate with them. :)) Hence you cannot pay by Credit Card directly on the site.

However online payments in Rupees can be made via Paypal. All you need to do is open a paypal account. Once you get a paypal account you can transfer money online to any other paypal account holder.

Issuing banks may charge currency exchange fees since my paypal account is USD account.The customers should enquire about the currency exchange fees before they make payments.

If you are making payments over Paypal in Rupees, appropriate USD conversion will be done.

Once I've put up an ad how long will it be there on the site?

I plan to run this site for 5 years. So your advertise will be up till next 5 years. No renewals. No obligations. Once put the ad stays there for full 5 years.

However you are on the rental plan, your ad will remain as long as you keep paying monthly charges.
